ABOUT ME

I’m a compassionate leader with 25 years of experience coaching and mentoring my team. From my very first job to today,  I led a team with a focus on engaging, challenging and developing them to achieving and exceeding their personal goals. 

I apply the same approach with my clients and incorporate empathy for others and importantly themselves.  

Through my life journey, as the first born and first generation of an immigrant family, empathy helped me embrace both my Asian and Canadian heritage. 

I am not a therapist. Although I may have personal and professional life experiences and challenges, steps I’ve taken and continue to take to address these challenges:

• intergenerational conflict in immigrant families
• coming out
• workplace situations

Early in my career, I was constantly seeking the next best thing, yet never content with what I had.  

Happiness, to me, meant:

• meeting my immigrant parents’ high expectations
• prestige
• money
• feeding my ego

My passion is art, but I studied and pursued business urged by my parents. Did you pursue a career outside of your passion because of parental pressures?

I was aggressive with my career, the youngest Director in my department, made more money allowing me to buy nicer things.  

I tried various industries: accounting, real estate, entrepreneur (co-owned a bakery), teaching, the list goes on. 

However, something was missing.  

Fast forward to today, midlife, similar to many, COVID was my great reset.  

I invested in myself to truly understand the meaning of happiness by taking the Positive Intelligence Eight Week Mental Fitness Program.  It was profound and continues to guide me on my journey towards happiness and fulfillment grounded by my true values incorporating mindfulness.  

It inspired me to become a Positive Intelligence certified coach and working towards my ACC certification, completion Spring 2024.

I share my personal, professional and coaching experience to help my team and clients to find their happiness grounded by values.
